Canis Major (The Timeless Dog)

by Adrian Sima

My dog is gnawed at elbows,
and gnaws at time
(sweeping from one star to another one),
until he touches my bones
harnessed to the past.

"What are you looking for?" I asked him.

"The second with a taste of flesh
in the sky with galactic years.
It should be one,
at least one must exist!"
he answered me
between his bright eye-teeth
like two young suns.
