Perseus

by Izabela Boros

I wanted to collect small stars.
Hercules promised me his help,
but changed his mind:
he couldn't abandon Lyra's music,
and had to watch the Dragon.
I asked for Pegasus' help,
but Andromeda needed it more.
I went to Bootes, and he helped me
to put a lot of stars
in the Big Chariot.
But, passing by the Dragon,
its damned tail hit the Chariot,
and my little stars
were thrown to Perseus.

Now I am helpless,
and can just see my little stars
when the Perseid meteor shower appears.
